The Production Line

I think I may be running out of Eldar art. I'm sure I've used this one already.

But anyway, as I said in the last post, Tale of Many Gamers is on us again and I have set up ready for the mammoth painting task ahead of me for the next 4-5 months.

Here is the production line of assembled miniatures. I'm hoping to get through this before starting on the rest of my backlog, which includes two further 5th Ed Battleforces, a Wraithknight, 2 Fire Prisms, a Night Spinner, a squad of Fire Dragons and a Squad of Swooping Hawks. Add onto that the partially completed models that I want to finish as I am going along and I can see that I really do have my work cut out for me.

I have also started the Raven Guard kill team. It's just started with the new Tactical squad box and have painted one dudeguy so far. I'm waiting on the rest as I want to give them all beaky helmets, except for the Captain, who I decided needed the Darth Vader face. Given their fluff about their Gene Seed deteriorating, I want to try and get this to come across on the tabletop, but I don't know 100% how I am going to achieve this yet.

I've gone for a bit of freehand to get the Chapter Symbol on the shoulder pad. Again, it's a case of doing small projects to practice certain techniques before going onto larger scale models, or my precious Eldar.

You'll also notice that I have gone for the green trim to mark the 4th company. I was tempted to go red, but black armour with red trim falls a bit to close to someone else's army.....

Finally, as a bonus update, I decided to build a Tau battle suit. Well, actually it's the Real Grade Gundam Zeta that I picked up at the weekend. I love this mobile suit, and also love Gunpla, so when I had the chance to try this new format out I jumped at the chance.

It's been a while since I last built one of these model kits, but I think I may be getting some more again soon as it is another similar hobby I enjoy along with Warhammer. I may even start featuring these on the site aswell.

  1. We need to stop painting everything black dude :)

That said, it wasn't until the recent SM release that I realised how much my DA successors look like Raven Guard/Black Templars.

I wish you good luck for ToMG dude, this time round i think its going to be truly brutal!

    1. I will stop painting black, when I get to the Aspect Warriors :P

I don't think I'll have a hard time standing out at this years ToMG, I mean, being the only Xenos in a sea of marines is going to be noticeable.
